2. Information we collect
Account and communication information
We collect the email address used for email OTP login and information you send when contacting support.
Resume and job information
When you request an analysis, we process the uploaded resume file, extracted resume text, selected job role, custom role, or job description.
Analysis and history information
We store analysis results, ATS scores, scan dates, filenames, and comparison information so you can view recent history and improvements.
Payment information
Credit purchases are processed by Razorpay. We receive transaction and verification references needed to confirm payment and add credits. We do not ask you to send full card details to ATS Scan AI support.
Technical information
We may collect logs and request information such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, errors, and security events to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate users through email OTP.
- Extract resume content and generate the requested analysis.
- Provide scan history, comparisons, reports, and account credits.
- Process and verify payments.
- Respond to support, privacy, and security requests.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose errors, maintain security, and improve reliability.

4. AI processing and service providers
Resume text and job context are processed through third-party services used for AI analysis, cloud hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, payments, monitoring, and security. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms.
Because service providers and infrastructure may operate in different countries, information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
5. Legal bases
Depending on your location and the activity, we process information to perform the service you request, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with legal obligations, or act with your consent where consent is required.
6. Retention
The current application keeps up to ten recent scans per account. When new scans exceed that limit, older scan records and their associated uploaded resume files are scheduled for removal. Account, support, security, and payment records may be retained for longer where necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or meet legal and accounting requirements.
Deletion may not be immediate in encrypted backups, system logs, or records that must be retained by law. Backup copies are removed according to normal backup cycles.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a trusted device, protect your email account, and never share an OTP.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children
